Library staff will be available via phone during regular library hours to assist patrons with renewing materials, offering reading suggestions, and assisting with digital downloading. If staff is not available at your local library, please call one of our other locations. Access to our wireless network will also be available from outside library buildings where connections permit.
Patrons are encouraged to keep materials at home until the library reopens. Late fines will be waived for the duration of this service disruption, and materials can be renewed by staff. Our outside book drops will be available for those who wish to return materials.
The decision to close is a difficult one. As an important community resource, the library wants to be available to our patrons, however the health and safety of our communities is of the utmost importance. We view this as the most responsible path forward at this time. We will continue to monitor the situation and seek advice from public health officials to determine when the Libraries can reopen.
We appreciate patience and understanding as we all work together during these unusual circumstances.
Please note the Bogue Banks Library will not have staff available during this time.
